Social Welfare Council of Sarawak is officially registered as a voluntary social welfare non-governmental organization with the Registrar of Societies, Sarawak. It is ran and managed as a non-profit charitable body.
The official theme for the dinner is “1 Malaysia Contribution Makes a Difference”.
The patron for the event is the honourable Chief Minister of Sarawak, YAB Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud who shall officiate the opening of the dinner.

The Objectives
The Council is to organise the above Red Carpet Charity Dinner and it has appointed the Borneo International Expo Sdn Bhd, Kuching to manage it so to realize and the achieve the objectives together as below:
To raise funds to do more and better for the poor and needy and the persons with disabilities.
To help the disabled to be more able so to be useful and meaningful with lives on ability and confidence to work and earn to be self reliant
To create public awareness that Social Welfare Council of Sarawak is fully a voluntary welfare non-governmental organisation and not a Governement agency.
To promote Social Welfare Council of Sarawak is the oldest and biggest voluntary welfare non-profit charitable organisation registered in Sarawak with 37 affiliates.
To meet the calls to do own fund-raisings and not to be dependent largely on the Government.
The Activities
The dinner shall include charity sales for branding items to be donated by some corporate bodies, local and international that night. We shall see high-ranking and top brass personnel from the private and public sectors attending the dinner. The dressing code is strictly on tuxedo or coats for men. There will be highly exciting performances by local renowned artistes and the semi-finalists of D’ Beauté 2010 Phy’ Model Search. The popular media such as BERNAMA, Astro, RTM, TV3 and the English , Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu presses would be around to provide entire coverage for that night.
The Sponsorship
We proposed to have 100 dining tables to sell with fixed prices at RM5,000.00 (known as Platinum), RM3,000.00 (known as Gold) and RM2,000.00 (known as Silver) for 10 persons per table. In addition, we shall have corporate sponsorship for the Platinum, Gold and Silver.
